Soft Bounces are the total number of temporary email delivery failures. They are calculated by examining the Bounce report and adding up the total number of temporary delivery failures.
Typically, Soft Bounces are higher than Hard Bounces, hence it may be simpler to obtain the Soft Bounces metric by subtracting the number of hard bounces from the total number of bounces.
Soft Bounces = Total no. of Bounces – Total no. of Hard Bounces
